Established in 1987, we are a Jewish preschool where cutting edge early childhood education meets genuine love and care... and creates the magic of the #ganganifamily.
At Gan Gani, we seek to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child. The school is devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teach the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents. Our goal is to provide children with the early foundation and framework to prepare them for the transition to elementary school. In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.
The programs of our preschool arise from a common desire for excellence in meeting the needs of children and their families. Our philosophy is one of nurturing, growth, relationships and understanding - all in the goal of establishing a love for learning, a fascination with holidays and a passion for approaching the world in a Jewish way. Children are treasured for their uniqueness and individuality, and are encouraged in self-expression.
The basic philosophy behind our curriculum is that children learn best by doing. The program activities are therefore designed to help children learn more about the world, their heritage and their values through hands-on activities and personal involvement.
While we operate classrooms which are individualized in their goals & objectives, each classroom forms its specific aims within the context of these principles.
We see each child as a unique and precious gift entrusted into our care. This concept is what governs our school's educational approach. Emphasis is placed on the individual child and on encouraging each child's innate inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge. Small classes and high student-teacher ratios, ensure each child receives individual and caring attention.
Our Staff
Gan Gani is staffed with trained early childhood educators. Each member of our school faculty is sensitive to the needs of the children and their families and has a strong commitment to quality Jewish education.
The faculty meets weekly to discuss curriculum, plan programs and share and exchange ideas. In order to uphold the high standards of our program, staff development is ongoing throughout the year. This ensures that our teachers remain alert to the ever-changing needs of today's families and to the findings of current research.
Our director, Rivkie Block, and our teachers are an unusually dedicated group of professionals whose level of commitment to each child does not stop at the classroom door, and whose commitment to early childhood education is truly an avocation. As a result, they bring to their jobs a unique and special blend of professional skills and personal experience.
