Pinchas & Sheila Levin

2024 Dor L’Dor Award

Pinchas and Sheila Levin moved from New Jersey to San Antonio in September of 2016 and it didn't take long before Pinchas and Sheila became an integral and beloved part of the Chabad Community.  Pinchas became a regular at the daily minyan and Sheila joined the women's classes and activities and was always ready to volunteer and lend a hand.

Pinchas who is an accomplished classical musician, pilot, licensed airplane mechanic, carpenter, artisan, fabricator, gunsmith and overall mechanically gifted put his myriad skills and talents to work, troubleshooting and repairing, at his own expense, whatever needed attention from plumbing, electrical, mechanical and more, saving the Center many thousands of dollars over the years.

Together with Yakov Meir Goldblum, Pinchas upgraded and revitalized the security protocols and established a consistent schedule for the presence of armed guards whenever there are children present on the Chabad property. Pinchas also led the effort to secure FEMA security funding for the Chabad Center.

Pinchas and Sheila are deeply committed to our Torah and tradition, to learning and growing and are inspiring role models of integrity and dedication to  our community.

The Chabad Center is delighted to award them the 2024 Dor L'Dor Award.
